それでは本日もボキャブラリーレッスン、はじめていきます！

1. シンプルイズベスト
今回はB Boysの「Discipline」を使用していきます！
B Boysは、NYブルックリン発のポストパンクバンドです。
「B Boy」という名前、ブルックリンと聞くとHip-Hopがつい出てきてしますが、彼らはバンドです！
無駄のないビートに、ちょっと乾いたギター、そして感情を抑えたようなボーカルが魅力です。
一見シンプルながら、80年代のポストパンクの影響を色濃く感じさせつつ、現代的でアートなニュアンスも併せ持ち、聴けば聴くほどクセになる“するめバンド”です。
最近の音楽に物足りなさを感じている人や、余計な装飾のない音をじっくり味わいたい人には、ぜひ聴いてみてください！
2. Disciplineの歌詞
使用するボキャブラリーには、太字アンダーラインをし、派生語や関連語を紹介します！

①coexist
coexist（動）：共存する◆異なるものが同じ場所や環境で一緒に存在することを意味する。
coexistence（名）：共存、共生、共在
coexistent（形）： 共存の、共存している
【文章例】
1. coexist（動）：Serious and satirical elements coexist in these stories.
2. coexistence（名）：The coexistence of different cultures is essential for global harmony.
3. coexistent（形）：The coexistent cultures in this city create a diverse and vibrant community.
【意味】
1. 真面目な要素と風刺の要素がこれらの物語には共存する。
2. 異なる文化の共存は、世界の調和のために不可欠である。
3. この都市に共存する文化は多様で活気にあふれたコミュニティを作り出しています。
②multiply
multiply（動）：〔～に〕（…を）かける、乗じる、〔～を〕増す、増やす、増加させる、〔～を〕拡大させる
multiplication（名）：増加、増大、増量、増殖、繁殖、掛け算
multipliable（形）： 倍増可能な、《数学》乗じることができる、乗算可能な、増やせる
【文章例】
1. multiply（動）：Multiplying the area by the height gives the volume. :
2. multiplication（名）：The multiplication of two numbers is equal to their product.
3. multipliable（形）：Time is not multipliable, but your focus can be.
【意味】
1. 体積は面積に高さをかけたもの。
2. 2つの数の掛け算は、その積に等しい。
3. 時間は増やせないが、集中力は増やせる。
③commodify
commodify（動）：〔～を〕商品化する、〔～を〕商品として扱う
commoditize（動）：商品化する、日用品化する、共有化する、共用化する
commodification（名）： 商品化
【文章例】
1. commodify（動）： Many cultural traditions have been commodified for the tourism industry.
2. commoditize（動）：Advances in technology tend to commoditize once unique products.
3. commodification（名）：The commodification of art has led to a focus on profit rather than creativity.
【意味】
1. 多くの文化的伝統が観光産業のために商品化されてきた。
2. 技術の進歩は、かつては独特だった製品を一般商品化する傾向がある。
3. アートの商業化は、創造性よりも利益重視の傾向を生んでしまった。
