その㉔：ボキャブラリー Lesson 21 ~In The Morning / Razorlight~

みなさんこんにちは！はるゆきです！
5月も中旬となり、徐々に夏が顔を出してきたような気がしますね。

季節の変わり目ですので、体調管理をしっかりして学習の妨げにならないようにしていきましょー！

本日もボキャブラリーレッスンやっていきたいと思います！

今回はRazorlightの「In The Morning」を使用していきます！

ヨーロッパの某有名フェスティバルでヘッドライナーを務めるほどの2000年代UKを代表するバンドです。
以前紹介した「The Libertines」に加入していたと噂がありましたが、本人たちによって否定されていましたね。
加入していたとしたら、スーパーバンドですね。。
それはそれで見てみたかった！

聞きやすい、ストレートにかっこいいPOPな曲が多いバンドです。
バンドが苦手な人でも聞けますので、ぜひ！

何を～か分からない

やっていることに対して単純に理解できないときによく使われます。
ネイティブは「批判」にもよく使うようです。

（過去の出来事などについて）回想する、追憶する
（後ろを）振り返って見る

過去を振り返る、後ろを振り返って見る。
意味は異なりますが、共通点もある乙な表現ですね。

～を起こす、～を目覚めさせる

「～を目覚めさせる」という意味ですが、寝ている人を起こすという意味です。
wakeのみの使用でも意味が通るようですが「up」には「完全に」というニュアンスがあるので「完全に起こす」という意味合いになります。
目的語が代名詞の場合は必ずwakeとupの間に代名詞が来ます。
