本日も始めていきます！

1. 70年代パンクロッカーの生き残り
本日は以前もご紹介したThe Libertinesの楽曲「Up The Bracket」を扱っていきます！
2000年代にデビューしている彼らですが、バンドマンらしい態度にくすぐられます。
荒々しい演奏で、ライブによってはとても大舞台に出演しているとは思えない部分もありますが、それでいてもとにかくかっこいいです。
生でみたい！日本に来てくれ～！
2. Up The Bracketの歌詞
今回も使用するボキャブラリーには太字アンダーラインをしていきます！

①crooked
【文章例】
Your necktie is crooked.
【意味】
ネクタイが曲がっていますよ。
形容詞で用いられております。
「ed形容詞」ですね。
「ed形容詞」は、「その気持ちを感じている人」「その感情を持っている人」を表現する場合に使います。 一方、「ing形容詞」は「人をその気持ちにさせる物、または人」を表現する場合に使います。
②sigh
ため息をつく、切望する、待ち望む（自・他動詞）
ため息（名詞）
【文章例】
He sighed a deep （heavy）sigh.
【意味】
彼は深いため息をついた。
1文に「動詞、また名詞」として登場しました。
同義語としては以下があります。
【sighの同義語】
・exhale
・moan
・suspire
・breathe out
③double as
(ほかの物として）使える、兼務する
【文章例】
My sofa doubles as a bed.
【意味】
私のソファーはベッドとしての役割も果たす。
句動詞になっていますね。（動詞＋副詞）
句動詞は2000～3000種類ほどあると言われているようです。
使える表現は、英語の新聞や映画等でよく用いられているものから覚えるのが得策ですね！
