趣味を勉強に～音楽好きの英語学習～
みなさんこんにちは！はるゆきです！
本日もボキャブラリーレッスン始めていきます！
この試みは趣味の中で学習する方法を考えて生み出しました。
好きな曲の歌詞の中にあるボキャブラリーを使うことで、歌詞の理解と勉強ができ、一石二鳥です！
IELTS学習の息抜きにみなさんもぜひ！

1. アメリカインディーロックの雄再び
今回も前回紹介したアーティストCAKEの「The Distance」を使用していきます。
今回使用する曲は前回と同じバンドでも、バンド調の曲ではなく。Hip-Hop風な曲です。
スタイルを変えながら活動をしていき、それぞれの曲が代表曲として評価を受けています。
好きなアーティストに対して「あの時期の曲調がいい」だとかで惹かれることがありますが、CAKEに対しては関係ないようです。
一貫してクール。

2. The Distanceの歌詞
今回も使用するボキャブラリーに太字アンダーラインをしていきます！

①reluctantly
（副）〔同意・応諾・行動などが〕渋々、嫌々ながら、不本意ながら、仕方なく、気乗りしないが
【文章例】
She reluctantly agreed to our proposal.
【意味】
彼女は我々の提案にしぶしぶ同意した。

・unwillingly（副）：嫌々（ながら）、望みもしないのに
・hesitantly（副）：ためらいがちに、ちゅうちょして、おずおずと
・grudgingly（副）：嫌々ながら、渋々

②deftly
（副）器用に、手際よく、巧みに
【文章例】
She deftly threaded the needle.
【意味】
彼女は器用に針に糸を通した.
「deftly」という単語は、元々は「dextre（右）」というラテン語に由来し
「右利き＝洗練された技術を持つ」とされていたことから、現在の「deftly」の意味が生まれたようです。

③potent
(形）勢力のある、有力な、人を納得［承服・心服］させる、効き目のある、よく効く、効能がある
【文章例】
His potent leadership transformed the company into a global powerhouse.
【意味】
彼の強力なリーダーシップにより、その企業は世界的な強大な存在へと変貌しました。
