みなさんこんにちは！はるゆきです！
3月中旬ですね！皆様いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
僕はと言えば、プライベートで楽しみなことがあり、わくわくしています。
何が待ち受けているかというと、3月末に、めったに見れる機会のない大好きなバンドが来日公演をする予定があるのです！
1月から楽しみにしていたので、いよいよかという感じです。
噛み締めてきたいと思います！
それでは本日もボキャブラリーレッスン、始めていきます！

1. イングランド出身の美しい声の持ち主
今回はJames Morrisonの「One Life」を使用していきます！
2006年デビュー。
当時発売したシングル「You Give Me Something」はヨーロッパとオーストラリア、ニュージーランドでヒットし、英国でもヒットを記録しました。
デビューアルバム「Undiscovered」（2006年）もイギリスのアルバムチャートでトップデビューしました。
華々しいスタートを切れる理由もわかります。
声はかすれているものの「美声」としか言いようがないんです！
クールさと、優しさと、愛しさと切なさが混ざる彼の声はうらやましい限りです。（笑）

今回も使用するボキャブラリーには太字アンダーラインをし、派生語を紹介します！

①open
open（形）：〔閉じられる場所が〕開いている、閉まっていない、〔容器の〕蓋がない、蓋を取った
openly（副）：おおっぴらに、隠し立てせずに、率直に、あけすけに
openness（名）：〔異なる文化や経験などに対して〕心が開かれていること、寛容さ、〔情報などの〕開示性
【文章例】
1. open（形）：The store is still open.
2. openly（副）：She talked openly about her concern.
3. openness（名）：His openness lead to the creation of new ideas.
【意味】
1. その店はまだ開いている。
2. 彼女は彼女の懸念を率直に話した。
3. 彼の寛容さで新しいアイディアが生まれた。
②choice
choice（名）：選ぶこと、選択、選択の権利［自由］、選ばれたもの［人］、〔豊富な〕選択の範囲、品ぞろえ
choicely（副）：精選して、よりすぐって
choiceness（名）：〔異なる文化や経験などに対して〕心が開かれていること、寛容さ、見事さ、立派さ
【文章例】
1. choice（名）：You can take your choice.
2. choicely（副）：The ingredients are choicely selected to ensure the best taste.
3. choiceness（名）：The choiceness of the ingredients made the dish stand out.
【意味】
1. 好きなものをお持ちになっていいですよ。
2. 材料は、最高の味を確実にするために精選して選ばれています。
3. 食材の優秀さにより、料理が際立っていました。
③regret
regret（動）：〔失敗・過ちなどを〕後悔する、悔しく思う、残念［遺憾］に思う、惜しむ、悼む
regretful（形）：後悔している、残念そうな、悲しんでいる
regrettable（形）：遺憾な、残念な
【文章例】
1. regret（動）：I deeply regret what I did.
2. regretful（形）：He was regretful for his past mistakes.
3. regrettable（形）：I truly find it regrettable.
【意味】
1. 自分のしたことを深く後悔しています。
2. 彼は過去の過ちを後悔していました。
3. 誠に遺憾です。
